The optional catalytic converter is controlled centrally from the oven and intelligently integrated into the programs. In the standard program, the catalytic converter is automatically switched off once it reaches 650°C (1202°F), which ensures its longevity. It can be switched on again manually until the program has finished. If the program has expired and the technician does not switch off the Magma after the acoustic signal, the control expects the use of speed investment material and therefore restarts the catalytic converter.
Since the new muffles do not have the same temperature as the interior of the furnace, the wax gases would otherwise not burn completely and would both worsen the air in the room and clog the catalyst honeycomb. Therefore, the catalytic converter is in continuous operation in the speed program. This circuit increases the life of the catalyst and the air quality in your laboratory.
